Say hello to Kingston Giving 👋

We’re thrilled to officially introduce Kingston Giving, the new name and identity of our organisation, formerly known as Kingston Charitable Foundation. This rebrand reflects our renewed commitment to the community, and we’re incredibly grateful to 7Dots for their exceptional pro bono work in bringing our vision to life.

Our rebrand was celebrated at a landmark event on 4th March 2025 at The Rose Theatre, where we launched our much-anticipated report, What Kingston Thinks. This report is the culmination of nine months of research, capturing the voices of over 200 residents and shedding light on the needs, challenges, and opportunities within the Borough of Kingston. It’s a cornerstone for shaping our work and strengthening our borough for years to come.

Event Highlights and Gratitude

The event wouldn’t have been the success it was without the invaluable contributions of our amazing speakers:

  • Cllr Andreas Kirsch – Leader of the Council, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, who emphasised the importance of addressing mental health in our borough and celebrated the vibrant community of outstanding charities that make Kingston thrive.

  • Maryam Irekeola – Peer Researcher, UX Designer & PhD Student, who shared her experience as one of our peer researchers and underscored the importance of truly listening to Kingston’s residents.

  • Yvalia Febrer – Associate Professor at Kingston University, who highlighted how the local community influences the university and shared insights from Kingston University’s current research.

  • Dominic Sterling – Mental Health Projects Manager, who spoke passionately about the power of community in boosting mental health, the importance of self-care, and supporting those around us.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the event and contributed to the vibrant discussions that took place. This is just the beginning of ongoing conversations and collaborations aimed at creating a stronger, more equitable Kingston.

What Kingston Thinks: Guiding Our Future

The What Kingston Thinks report revealed critical areas for action, including addressing inequality, supporting mental health initiatives, and fostering collaboration among local stakeholders. These findings will directly inform our funding priorities and initiatives as we work to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Kingston’s residents.

At Kingston Giving, we believe that everyone has something to offer—be it time, talent, or money. Together, we can create a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our Team

Let’s continue building a resilient, thriving Kingston together!
