Small Questions, Big Impact: New Leaflets to Help You Check In

We’re proud to launch two new leaflets designed to help people of all ages navigate their mental health and wellbeing. Whether you’re a young person figuring things out or an adult juggling life’s demands, ‘What’s Up?’ and ‘How Are You Doing?’ are packed with practical check-in tools, local support services, and gentle prompts to help you - and those around you - feel more supported and less alone.

These resources were developed with input from members of our community with lived and practice experience – and were created in direct response to our community telling us that mental health is a key priority. That feedback came through loud and clear in our What Kingston Thinks report – a City Bridge Foundation-funded project, co-designed by local people. You can read the full report here.

A heartfelt thank you to Justine, our brilliant Community Lead & Grants Manager, who led this work with compassion and determination. Also, huge thanks to Shelley, our newly promoted Impact Reporting Lead & Marketing Manager, who played a vital role in shaping and delivering this resource. Both brought creativity, care and commitment to every stage of this project.

We’re especially grateful to Barwell Business Park, whose generous support funded the design, printing, and distribution of these leaflets. Thanks to them, people across Kingston will have better access to timely, local mental health support. You can read their announcement of this initiative on their website.

“These leaflets, carefully developed by our team, in consultation with people with both lived and practice experience, including experts from the NHS, Royal Borough of Kingston and leading Kingston Mental Health Charities, have the potential to change the lives of thousands of Kingston residents; we know from experience the difference they will make as they are following on from our essential ‘Hot Food, Warm Spaces leaflet’ that was also created in response to local need”
